Experience
Science education is my primary passion, and working as a tutor is a great way for me to help make this knowledge accessible to students of all ages. I graduated with my bachelor's degree from California State University - Long Beach, and I received a master's degree from the University of California - Irvine. Since graduation, I've worked in many areas as an educator. For two years, I was a coach for the science portion of the academic decathlon at Pacifica High. I also taught seven semesters of science courses at my alma mater, Cal State. I now have the pleasure of not only working with students as a tutor, but I also manage a program for high schoolers at Pacifica who are interested in engineering in conjunction with my other alma mater, UC Irvine. The college runs a branch of Engineers Without Borders which is associated with the extracurricular program. I can tutor students in both science and mathematics, working with students who need help in chemistry, physics, elementary and middle school math, calculus, and algebra. When I'm not tutoring, I love taking photographs.
